Level One - Each teacher will choose a student from each subject they teach.
They will write up the reasons why they are the top student.
Each student will receive
a medal and a certificate.
Level Two - The teachers will vote from all the students from level one to give an award
for each of the four subjects.
Each student will receive a plaque. The plaques will be named - The
Mary Mother Jones Award (U.S. History), The Gandhi Award (World History), The John Locke Award (Government) and the Alexander
Hamilton Award (Economics)
From the finalists of each subject we will give a "Marlene Mendez Alumni Award"
for the overall top Social Studies Award. This will include a trophy and cash (we will collect money at each meeting before
the award is given)
The Award will be given after CST testing in June.
We will consider T-Shirts
as well as part of the award with the Social Studies Crest.
