Congratulations to the Lady Pilots Tennis
Team for a dominating win versus Washington in their league
opener on Monday. Continuing to miss 4 out of 10 Varsity starters, the Lady Pilots
didn’t miss a beat, winning 6 out of 7 matches. No only did the Pilots
take 6 matches, but did so in commanding form, outscoring the Generals, 48 games to 18.
Special recognition goes out to Jackie Humara
who bounced back from last week’s near-win, by squashing her opponent, 8-0. Also
joining the shut-out party were #3 doubles Jenny Berrios with 1st time Varsity player Diana Alvarado.
#1 Doubles Cinthya Monroy & Graziel Nafarette
are now 2-0 as partners, while Jackie Gonzalez got a tough win at #2 singles. #4
singles player, Rubi Haro, as well as #2 doubles, Norma Santamaria with 1st-timer Veronica Trujillo also had convincing
wins at 8-2.
