Coach Chris Ferragamo has been selected as an ABC7 / NFL High School Coach of the Week for
Southern California in 2009. We are planning on honoring Chris on our Sports Zone show on Saturday October 3, 2009, following
the BAC college football game of the day. The award is a $1,000 grant for the Banning football program, and a plaque
signed by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. We are planning on coming to Banning High school's football field on Wednesday
September 30th at 3:00 p.m. to tape the presentation, and I'd like to invite you and your group to join us in honoring Coach
Chris Ferragamo.
One more thing I'd like to ask your help
on, is that we'd like to hear from as many of you as possible, telling us what Chris means to Banning and to the community.
What is it he does for your kids that sets him apart from other coaches. Chris is also up for the High School Coach
of the Year award. For that to be a possibility, the team has to make it into the playoffs, but we also need to hear
from his fans. Becasue the award is actually announced before the CIF Finals game, it's possibile that more than one
coach would end up with the same record. In that case, the leters we receive on their behalf will be the decision
