Congratulations to the Girls Tennis Team for a tremendous effort vs. Narbonne on Monday.
In the two teams' matchup earlier this month, the Pilots took 2 matches, but none of the other 4 were very close. This
time however, the Pilots seemed confident enough to not only improve on the previous score, but to perhaps even claim the
victory. In singles, Stephanie Salazr took an early 3-0 lead before a mid-match tumble derailed her chances, while Elaine
Gomez dominated her opponent with an 8-3 win. In doubles, Celeste Garcia & Darla Romo overcame early match controversy
to attempt a great comeback before falling 8-6, while Milka Jimenez & Brenda Lomeli lead throughout their entire match
to produce an impressive win. In JV/Exhibition play, Vanessa Jaramillo & Evelyn Lagunas produced a 6-0 shutout,
while Emily Garcia & Meya Vargas battled their opponents until the very end of the tie-break. Great Job Pilots &
Good Luck vs. San Pedro on Thursday!
