Congratulations once again to the Boys Tennis Team. After an incredibly successful season the
Pilots have been rewarded with 4 slots in the CIF LA City Section Singles & Doubles Championships. In Singles, Julian
Frausto will face off vs. a recent opponent that the team just played on Friday. Frausto will play the #2 Singles player from
SOCES. Jorge Zavala will face the top player from Kennedy, who also happens to be the overall #6 seed in the tournament.
In Doubles, Salvador Lara & Julio Sanchez are up against a pair from Hamilton, while Michael Gonzalez & JoseAngel
Sotelo take on a squad from Division 1 Champs, Palisades. Chris Leon is an alternate in Singles as well. Good Luck to these 6 gentlemen who will be traveling to the Balboa Tennis Center in Encino on Monday
(Singles) & Tuesday (Doubles) of next week for these elite Championships. Out of close to 250 singles players in
the CIF LA City Section, only the top 32 are invitied. In doubles, the top 32 pairs selected are from among a group
of close to 500 doubles players. Great Job Pilots!
